Lego the pacifier

Posted in lego with tags on November 13, 2012 by olbiiyah

I started writing a rather witty post about lego at schools and then for some unknown reason it didn’t publish. So here is a concise version. I got the kids in my school into Lego (one of my oldest friends). They have a very low attention span but Lego seems to have them gripped.

 A church

 Snazzy American style holiday home.

this is actually made of lego and not the real Corley M6 Motorway service station. Although the food served is better.

We’ve actually made quite a lot of buildings but they weren’t as architecturally sound so the 7 year old Forman put his boot through them. We are currently working on a massive model of Broadmoor Prison.

Last 6 month is technicolour

Posted in Africa, Food, plants, reggae on August 7, 2012 by olbiiyah

The last 6 months have run quick, too quick. Feeling less and less time to update the blog with runnings as runnings don’t run themselves. So pictures of my last 6 month will have to do and there are a lot. More exciting than my literal incompetence……

Thats right Deep Roots Like Dirt 1972-78

Wow! Not uploaded any mixes for time so….

This selection comes straight from vinyl and showcases the dark, deep and militant roots that often gets over looked and under played.

I did this mix in the summer 11′ but failed to upload it due to sheer laziness. It only seems right to dedicate this selection to the memory of John Girling a friend and long time supporter of the Birmingham reggae scene. I know he would have loved this selection and feel sorry that he never got to hear it.

RIP Jon Girling (Zen, Obi 1)
